| Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of The Worlds celebrates its 30th
Anniversary in 2009 embarking on an anniversary tour which is set to be
bigger than ever before. Following the hugely successful sell-out UK tours
in both 2006 and 2007, the highly-anticipated show - which features
international hit singles - ‘The Eve of The War' and ‘Forever Autumn', will
provide groundbreaking technology, unique Illusions and live performance.
The anniversary tour will feature Jeff Wayne once more conducting The Black
Smoke Band and The ULLAdubULLA strings alongside Moody Blues Justin Hayward
as The Sung Thoughts of The Journalist, Shannon Noll & Theatre sensation
Jennifer Ellison as Beth, with other guest artists to be announced shortly.
From the show itself, the audience can expect an incredible 35-foot Martian
Fighting Machine that fires Heat Rays at the audience while scanning them
with its bug-like-eyes, a 100-foot wide screen showing CGI animation & the
spellbinding 11-foot high hologram of Richard Burton performing his role as
George Herbert the Journalist.
